We love the concept of Bit Buddies and it has truly been a game changer for our mare, Bellanosa Z! Bella is an extremely hot and sensitive mare competing at the 1.40/1.45m level. She’s an incredible jumper, but getting her to relax, accept the bit, and even canter on the flat has always been a major challenge. In two days with Bit Buddies, Bella she has accepted more contact and is even cantering calmly on the flat. The difference is remarkable and we are so thrilled to see this change in her relaxation and performance. She went from needing to work into relaxation at the trot and hardly cantering on the flat, prior to Bit Buddies, to now cantering calmly both directions and even working up to canter sets. I used these on my six-year-old‘s Pony who likes to get distracted or pull her head down and try to graze or do other tricks during lessons. With the bit buddy on her bit she seemed much more focused, and she was happily busy with her bit and much more focused than she usually is for a lesson! These are a huge success! Plus, they smell great! I will definitely be getting more! My other daughter who is 12 also used on her Pony and it seemed to have a very calming effect as well on her Pony during her lesson.

Absolutely LOVE this product!! We have a young OTTB straight from the track who was not a fan of being bridled. The trainer got him from warned us about the issue, but when we got him home we saw how bad it really was. Getting the bit in his mouth was a huge struggle and sometimes took 2 people. Then when he did have the bit in his mouth, he really braced against it while under saddle and it just wasn’t pleasant for anyone. After using this for a few days, he started to actually look forward to being bridled and became so much softer while being ridden. I realize this is an extreme case, but we even started using this with our less green horses who could use a little softening or maybe even just a treat while being ridden. We are huge fans!

I wish I'd had Bit Buddies when I was 12 years old with little arms and a very rude pony. My mare is super picky about treats but she loves the Anise flavor!

My young 4 year old mare really loved this product! She went from being anxious about bitting and fussy in the bridle to soft chewing and relaxed. She no longer anticipates the stress of the bridle coming out of the tack room or finding soft contact on the bit. As a trainer, this product has been a huge game changer in teaching young horses to bridle and accept contact in the bit. They love the flavor and it lasts throughout my ride, giving them something to enjoy while we work. One of my older guys also needs previcox for maintenance. I just wrap it in some bit buddy and feed it as a treat. No more fighting or sorting around it in his feed. Highly recommend.

I love this product ! The young horses are interested in the bit and are more willing to open their mouths. The wrap pads the bit allowing it to pass smoothly over their teeth.
